MOLLY LYNN CAMPBELL VOORHEES

What can I say about my godchild, Molly?  She was born "an old soul".  When she was about five, she started making lists and plans.   One day when I took her to the movies (she was about 6 or 7), she said "if we go to one more "G" movie I am going to be pissed".  It was "R" rated movies after that, and we both would hide our eyes and run out of the movies (yes, she is scarred for life)...She always celebrated her birthdays at Tony's where she had duck with cherry sauce.  (This is when she was about 8 years old. ) She used to call River Oaks Country Club, the Crunchy Club.  When I was with her, it was like I was with someone my age, even though I am 24 1/2  years older than her (do the math, she is 35 today). She went away to Middlebury and came home with the most wonderful guy, Coert Voorhees.  They had a gorgeous wedding in Telluride, she went to GraduateSchool at Stanford, came home to Houston and now runs her dad's dream business "Beck'sPrime".  Coert is now finished graduate school and is quite the writer.  She keeps up with every friend she ever had, she is a delight to be with, she will do anything for you  and she always makes you feel so special.  She has the two cutest kids in the world, Dayton and Annie,  and makes being a mother look so easy.  Recently when there was a lunar eclispe, her youngest, Annie, stayed up all night.  I wrote her an email telling her that there was a solar eclipse in July.  This was her answer.

We’ll make sure she’s sleeping at the grandparents".
She makes me laugh.....

That's what  I can say about  Molly.

  1. I can't see through the tears! Lots of love to CoCO. You didn't tell about the time we won lots and lots of cash in Vegas playing Black Jack (pretty sure it was my 21st birthday) only to lose it all becuase we were too looped to know we had just made $10,000. I can't wait for my 3 foot flag cake to arrive. Corky is not my god mother, she's my FAIRY GODMOTHER.
