The Bichons In Our Life

From Left To Right:  Hannah, Sno-Ball and Paris
I can't believe I have been blogging for 9 whole days and I haven't mentioned the Bichons. Theoretically, Paris belongs to my sister, Deborah and is the sweetest dog that ever lived. Oh, yeah, she has an attitude (like when Deborah goes home late or leaves at night, she is snubbed by Paris in the worst way). Sno-Ball belonged to my dear mom and dad. She has suffered many changes in her life; my dad died, she lost her home in New Orleans due to Katrina and then Mom died. But she lives with Deborah  and Paris and Hannah now and it didn't take her anytime to train Deborah. (think "step and fetch it", yes, Deborah is very quick to give her numerous bones according to her barking commands.)

And then there is my dog, Hannah, the youngest of the Bichons, the most wonderful dog (hey, she is the only one who can still jump up on the sofa and the bed) and she also lives with Paris and Sno at Deborah's. It all happened innocently enough. I dropped her off for the 4th of July weekend at Deborah's.  Paris seemed to be calmer and slept longer, so Deborah asked if she could stay a bit longer. Well, its been about 7 years. Don't judge me.  I still pay for her grooming and vet bills and visit all the time.  We do have sleep overs.   And I have to say, she knows I am her "mom" and greets me like a crazy dog.

As you can see below, Hannah loves to dress up.  Give her a costume and she is a happy camper.  She looks forward to Go Texan week each year and begs me to take her to the rodeo.  I try and tell her there are "too many people", but what are you going to do?  I mean, look at those eyes?

Hannah is my heart.  I don't remember when she wasn't around and I can't bear to think of the day when she will go to doggie heaven.  But knowing she will be with Paris and Sno-Ball makes it just a little bit easier.
